What is Lucky Bamboo
|
Lucky bamboo, or Dracaena sanderiana, actually is not bamboo or native to Asia but rather a species of Dracaena that’s native to tropical West Africa. Dracaena is a group of plants that survive well under various indoor conditions. Lucky bamboo is popular in the household and office because it’s inexpensive, needs little care, grows very slowly, and doesn’t take up much space. A small amount of water and indirect sunlight keeps the plant happy. According to Feng Shui, lucky bamboo brings positive energy flow to the room. Because the leaves are mildly toxic, it should be kept out of the reach of children and pets so that they can’t accidentally eat it.
